Ako študentka veľa športovala a nemusela sledovať to, čo skonzumuje. Po škole však začala rapídne priberať, ale našťastie sa odhodlala k celkovej zmene životosprávy a dnes vyzerá fantasticky!

25-ročná Regan Patterson z Orlanda viedla na strednej škole aktívny život, a tak si nikdy nemusela strážiť to, čo zje. Akonáhle ale prestala športovať, hneď sa jej stravovanie odrazilo na váhe.

Regan sa svojich sto kíl snažila skrývať pod niekoľkými vrstvami oblečenia, ale nadváha ovplyvňovala jej spoločenský život. Odmietala s priateľmi chodiť na pláž a vyhýbala sa verejným akciám.

 „Bola som veľmi aktívne dieťa a nikdy som neriešila, čo som v ten deň zjedla. Po škole som ale športovať prestala, a to sa podpísalo na mojej postave," vysvetľuje Regan a dodáva, že po krátkej chvíli jej sebadôveru vystriedali sklamanie, hanba a neistota.

Chudnúce pravidlo

"Začala som byť unavená z toho, ako veľmi mi môj vzhľad vadí. Neustále som riešila, čo si o mne ostatní myslia. Uvedomila som si, že nemám inú možnosť, než sa sebou začať niečo robiť," spomína mladá fitness trénerka.

Regan sa od začiatku spoliehala na pravidlo 80:20. To znamená, že sa z osemdesiatich percent stravovala zdravo a dvadsať percent tvorili tie menej zdravé jedlá, ktorá si raz čas jednoducho dopraje. Práve týmto spôsobom si mladé dievča vytvorilo dlhodobo udržateľný režim chudnutia, vďaka ktorému sa dostala na váhu šesťdesiatpäť kilogramov.

"Vždy hovorím, že chudnutie je jednoduché, ale nie ľahké. Strážim si príjem makroživín a dnes cvičím päť až šesť dní v týždni," hovorí Regan, ktorá si zmeny v stravovaní aj v cvičení pridávala postupne.

Aj teraz si občas dopraje pizzu, hamburger alebo zmrzlinu. " Veľa ľudí si neuvedomuje, že stále môžu jesť jedlo, ktoré im chutí, a chudnúť. Len je potrebné poznať správne množstvo," tvrdí Regan, ktorá je sama najlepším príkladom toho, že to funguje.

„Najťažšou časťou chudnutia je však trpezlivosť. Nie je to niečo, čo sa stane zo dňa na deň. Musíte vytrvať. Len začnite a pokračujte. Urobte najskôr drobné zmeny, akými sú pridanie väčšieho množstva zeleniny do jedálnička, pite viac vody a pridajte viac prirodzeného pohybu,“ radí na záver úspešná fitnes trénerka.

It’s really hard. But that doesn’t mean you can’t do it. ⁣ ⁣ Don’t rely on motivation, I have a hard time believing in motivation. ⁣ ⁣ I believe in creating habits. I believe in discipline. I believe in doing things even when you don’t feel like it. I believe in grit. ⁣ ⁣ Those are actions. Motivation is a feeling and feelings are fleeting. ⁣ ⁣ So dig deep, do the things you need to do to get you closer to your goal. Because no one else can do this for you. ⁣ ⁣ And when you reach your goals, you can look back and said “I did that!” ⁣ ⁣ That’s how I feel when I look at my before/after photos. I FREAKING DID THAT. 👏🏼⁣ ⁣ Celebrate your wins, and grind it out. 💪🏼

Happy Monday! I want to talk about daily goals today! 🤗⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ I know when first getting started, or for any big goal that you may have, it feels overwhelming. 😥⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ I remember when I started, I knew I wanted to lose approximately 80 lbs (give or take, I was more worried about how I looked in the mirror, how I felt, how clothes felt, etc). But that huge goal would sometimes intimidate and overwhelm me! ⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ I decided I needed to break it down and worry about smaller, daily activity goals. ⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ And I still do that to this day! Behavioral goals shift the focus off the pressure of hitting those huge milestones and have you focus on daily, doable tasks. And guess what? Those lead to big results over time! ⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ So today my goals are: ⁣⁣ •Hit my macros ⁣⁣ •Drink 2 of my @hydrojugs (code Regan to save) ⁣⁣ •Get my workout in (already done!) ⁣⁣ •Be more intentional about shifting negative thoughts to positive ones! (I struggle with letting my negative thoughts take over and put me in a negative mood) ⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ Your goals can be as small as you want them to be! I could sit here everyday posting products and theories and gain a huge following and make lots of money, feeding off people’s insecurities and feeding off people not knowing the facts about fitness and nutrition. ⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ I see people with hundreds of thousands of followers posting complete BS! ⁣⁣👎🏼 ⁣⁣ But that’s not what I’m about. ⁣🙅🏼‍♀️⁣ ⁣⁣ I’m not here to try to sell you something. I’m not here to feed you BS. ⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ Me telling you that a calorie deficit is the way to lose fat doesn’t benefit me in any way. ⁣ ⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ A calorie deficit isn’t sexy. It isn’t a quick fix. But it is the TRUTH. ⁣⁣👏🏼 ⁣⁣ There’s no shortcut to success. Put in the work, be consistent, be patient, and results will follow. ⁣⁣💪🏼 ⁣⁣ Stop expecting to have your dream body in 30 days when you’ve been putting on weight the past 5+ years. ⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ Stop drinking celery juice and apple cider vinegar, using waist trainers, taking “fat burners,” and start focusing on creating habits that will get you results that you can maintain for the rest of your life. 🙌🏼

Losing weight is hard. ⁣ ⁣ I know. I’ve been there, I’ve done it. ⁣ ⁣ You know what else is really hard? ⁣ ⁣ Not being happy in the skin you’re in. ⁣ ⁣ You get to choose your hard. ⁣ ⁣ You are the dictator of your life, your choices, and the direction you’re headed. ⁣ ⁣ It’s easy to find excuses to why you can’t, but for every excuse, there are multiple solutions. ⁣ ⁣ Are you going to let excuses keep holding you back? Or are you going to be a problem solver and find the solutions? ⁣ I could have let every excuse hold me back from losing weight, but I didn’t. ⁣ ⁣ I had grit, determination, and always kept going when things got hard. ⁣ ⁣ If you want something bad enough, you’ll do what it takes to achieve it. ⁣ ⁣ So what do you want?
